Hindu girl crushes Quran recitation competition with fluent Arabic in Kerala

The fourth-grade student has been widely praised for learning the language at a young age. What makes her achievement more remarkable is the fact that she was born into a Hindu family.

Kerala: Parvathy, a fourth-grade student who speaks fluent Arabic, recently won a Quran recitation competition at the Thodannur sub-district arts festival in Kozhikode, Kerala.
Parvathy, who was born into a Hindu family, instantly became the poster girl of religious harmony when she began her recitation of The Quran - the holy book of Islam - with the Arabic phrase “Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem”, which translates to “In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious and The Most Merciful”
According to media reports, the class 4 student of Chemmarathur West LP School began learning Arabic back in first grade alongside her twin, Parvana, after sisters’ parents encouraged them to learn a new language.
