11 Killed In Bus Accident In Madhya Pradesh’s Jhallar

Bus-Car Collison In Madhya Pradesh: At least 11 people were killed in a bus accident near Jhallar police station in Madhya Pradesh on Friday early morning. The accident took place when the bus collided with a car near Jhallar. One person was injured and he has been admitted to a hospital.

According to reports, there were no passengers on the bus when the collision happened. Those killed included six men, three women and two children. The pictures from the crash suggest that the bus and the car collided head-on as the front portion of the car as well as the bus were badly damaged.

Expressing grief over the accident which killed more than ten people within a span of a night, the prime minister announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh.

Taking to Twitter, PM Narendra Modi’s office shared, “Pained by the loss of lives due to an accident in Betul, MP. Condolences to the bereaved families. May the injured recover soon. An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. Rs. 50,000 would be given to the injured”
