No one was injured when a truck struck a Michigan State Police motor carrier officer’s car that was assisting a church bus that slid into the ditch late Monday afternoon.

There were 20 people aboard the bus, which lost control in snowy weather on M-20 near its intersection with Lincoln Road west of Mt. Pleasant, said Michelle Robinson, MSP spokeswoman. The bus went off the road and into a ditch.

No one in the bus was injured in the slide-off, she said.

A state police motor carrier was the first officer on the scene. While the trooper was assisting with the bus, a truck was struck by a pick-up truck, she said.

No one in that collision was injured, either.
