La Habra is having a good time this weekend with the annual Corn Festival, a community tradition for more than 70 years.

Held a little later this year because of a late summer scheduling conflict, the three-day festival has been drawing residents and visitors to El Centro Lions Park for carnival rides, a Saturday morning parade, family activities, contests and the consumption of thousands of ears of corn – and lots of other treats.

The event is a fundraiser of the La Habra Host Lions, helping to support its charitable efforts in the community.

Activities continue Sunday and include an afternoon full of entertainment and bands, starting with ballet folkloric at noon, followed by Mexican singer songwriter Angelica Montano at 2 p.m. and Timba Tumbao at 3:30. At 6:30, Suave the Band takes the stage to close out the night.
