Tennessee wide receiver/kick returner Jimmy Holiday has entered the transfer portal, he announced on Instagram Wednesday.

Holiday is a 6-foot, 205-pounder from Flora, Mississippi. He has two years of eligibility remaining. He was 3-star signee in the 2020 class.

"First, I would like to start by giving all the glory and honor to God," Holiday wrote. "It is because of him all things are possible. I would like to thank the University of Tennessee for the support to receive a great education.

"To my teammates - thank you from welcoming me in with open arms. Thank you Vol Nation for allowing me to call Knoxville my home sweet home for the past 3 years. I gave my all for Tennessee and never imagined a day where I would not be playing for the Power T in my collegiate career. After much Prayer and many talks with my family I would like to announce I will be entering my name into the transfer portal."

Holiday spent the past three seasons, including the 2020 COVID-exempt year, as a reserve wide receiver. He converted to the position after playing quarterback in high school. This season he had six receptions for 106 yards and one TD.

Tennessee wide receiver Jimmy Holiday (6) runs with the ball during Tennessee's football game against Akron in Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn., on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022.

Holiday has elite speed, which earned him a role as UT's primary kick returner. This season he had 14 kick returns for 281 yards (20.1-yard average).

The transfer portal opens to teams on Monday.
