We Care Hinsdale raises more than $10,000 for Edward Foundation, Linden Oaks

We Care Hinsdale raised $10,231 in support of Edward Foundation's Linden Oaks Hospital Fund.

The nonprofit, established by five Hinsdale Central High School students, was formed to spread mental health awareness among teenagers in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

By selling sweatshirts through the group's Instagram account and in-person pop-up events and by partnering with local companies, We Care Hinsdale aims to raise funds for those directly impacted by mental health struggles. Their mission is to spread positive reinforcement among peers who are struggling with mental health issues ranging from anxiety to depression.

To learn more about We Care Hinsdale, make a donation or to purchase a sweatshirt, visit their Instagram @wecarehinsdale or send them an email at wecare.hinsdale@gmail.com.

Since it was established in 1990, the Edward Foundation has raised more than $54 million to support Edward Hospital's community health care initiatives, invest in the most advanced diagnostic and treatment technology, recruit world-class medical professionals and deliver the highest quality care to almost 1.7 million patients in its service area.
