IN JUST THE NEXT FEW WEEKS. NEW AT SIX, AN HISTORIC BUILDING ON MAIN STREET IN DOWNTOWN AMES CAN REOPEN NEARLY TWO MONTHS AFTER A PSSER BY NOTICED IT WAS KIND OF LEANING. THIS IS WHAT THE FORMER HOME OF THE CORNER POCKET BAR AND CHEESE TAPHOUSE LOOKED LIKE BACK IN SEPTEMBER. CITY OF AM SAYS THE BUILDING’S NEW OWNER HAS MADE THE NECESSARY REPAIRS TO STABILIZE THE STRUCTURE. THE SECOND FLOOR WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL THE ADDITIONAL REPAIRS ARE COMPLETE.
