US based Jamari Smith better known as “Maribased1” is the next generation of Seattle music stars. Born and raised in West Seattle, He went to Chief Seattle High school and graduated from south Seattle community college and graduated with a culinary arts major.
Maribased1 is an award winning independent rapper, songwriter & producer. “Seattle music is real, and it’s a movement not a game”, says Jamari.
Jamari has made groundbreaking achievements within the Seattle music scene. His current project “Talk Talk Talk” where he teams up with one of the hottest artists out of Nigeria, Yung6ix, just hit over 1 million plays on AudioMack. It has also garnered steady airplay on Soundcity TV, MTVBase, HIPTV & Betjams. It has also been receiving heavy rotation from national & international radio stations too.
Over the past decade Yung6ix has carved out a name for himself as one of the most prolific voices in the Nigerian music scene which earned him the name “King Of The South” (K.O.S).
