Man charged in construction site fatal shooting

Police have charged a 31-year-old man with criminal homicide following a fatal shooting at a Nolensville Pike construction site.

Juan Edgardo Izaguerra-Montoya was arrested Tuesday night by Tennessee Highway Patrol and Knox County deputies at an interstate weigh station, according to a Metro Nashville Police release.

Izaguerra-Montoya is charged in connection to the fatal shooting of Santos Reynario Ramirez-Martinez, 42.

Police say on his off day, Izaguerra-Montoya arrived at the construction site shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday while Ramirez Martinez was working on the fourth floor of the building.

A witness heard several gunshots and saw Izaguerra-Montoya running from the scene.
