2022 CHiPs for Kids Toy Drive: How to donate at drop-off locations
Help give a happy holiday to families in need with the 2022 CHiPs for Kids Toy Drive.
KCRA 3, the California Highway Patrol and the CHiPs for Kids Toy Drive have been helping to make the holidays brighter for children in our community for over 15 years.
This year's drop-off event at Cal Expo in Sacramento kicked off Friday, Dec. 2. The community's generosity led to 7,047 toys being collected, more than at last year's event.
If you couldn't make it out to Cal Expo for the drop-off event, there are other places to make your donation in December.
Drop-off locations:
You can help by bringing a new, unwrapped toy to any CHP office or American Furniture Galleries between Nov. 10 and Dec. 14.
People are encouraged to consider giving athletic equipment, gift cards and make-up for teens, too, since a lot of gifts in past years have been for younger kids.
This year's CHiPs for Kids Toy Drive is sponsored by American Furniture Galleries, Bell Brothers Heating & Air, Shriner's Hospital and Toyota.
