Sheriff releases name of Chicago-area man found dead Nov. 12 in Grant

GRANT − The Portage County Sheriff's Office has identified the person whose body was found lying near a road in the town of Grant on Nov. 12 as a man from the Chicago area.

At 5:23 p.m. Nov. 12, Safandre Lindsey, 41, was found lying along 110th Street North, south of Washington Avenue, according to the sheriff's office. When deputies arrived, they found Lindsey was dead.

The cause of Lindsey's death is still undetermined pending the results of an autopsy, according to the sheriff's office. The University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Pathology did the autopsy.
