COLLEGE FOOTBALL: UTPB has tough trip to Pacific Northwest

Nov. 13—ELLENSBURG, Wa. — The UTPB football team closed out its season with a 49-14 road loss Saturday against Central Washington.

The host Wildcats improved to 6-4 overall, 6-3 in their first year in the Lone Star Conference.

The Falcons dropped to 5-6, 4-5.

UTPB tied the game, 7-7, midway through the first quarter on a 2-yard touchdown run by quarterback Gabe Herrera.

Central Washington the proceeded to score the next 35 points for a 42-7 lead at halftime and never looked back.

The Falcons tried to mix things up in the second half, putting wide receiver MJ Link at quaterback and it worked for while with Link scoring on a 27-yard run in the third quarter.
