One person killed in early morning apartment fire in Orlando, firefighters say

The Orlando Fire Department is investigating a deadly fire that happened early Sunday morning.

The fire started around 2:45 a.m. at an apartment complex on Lake Ridge Road in Orlando.

The complex is right off Signal Hill Road, not far from the Rosemont Community Center.

Firefighters confirmed that one person died in the fire.

Investigators said they are still working to find out the cause of the fire.

At least one unit has fire damage, and several others have water damage.

Fire officials have not released the identity of the person killed in the fire at this time.
