Rain and snow are possible in Denver Wednesday afternoon and evening as a small cold front moves through Colorado.
Temperatures starting off in Denver are fairly mild with a high of 54 degrees, but even after the cold front comes in, temperatures won’t drop too much. The main impact from the front will be the rain showers across the plains and foothills below 7,500 feet.
The rain will increase through the afternoon into the evening, then cooler temperatures Wednesday night will turn the precipitation slowly to snow. The low temperature is 24 degrees.
Denver has an 80% chance of seeing snow after 9 p.m., with one to three inches of accumulation likely.

On the high end of possible accumulation totals, Denver could see up to 6.5 inches.
Further south, the Palmer Divide could see up to nine inches and is expected to take the brunt of the snow. A winter weather advisory is in place on the Interstate 25 Corridor south of Denver to account for the expected snowfall.
Some more snow is expected in Denver before noon Thursday, then the day will be sunny with a high of 40 degrees.
