Defending champions Lahore Qalandars are all set to release a new anthem for Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8, franchise's CEO Atif Rana shared.

In a video message released on Friday, Rana said Qalandars are bringing a vibrant anthem for their fans this year.

"Like our player development program, we have worked hard on making this year's anthem which will tell our story of struggle and determination," he said.

"The song is ready and we will try to release it for fans as soon as possible," he added.

Qalandars beat Multan Sultans by 42 runs in the final to win their maiden PSL title last year. It took six long years for Qalandars to claim their first league title.

During their PSL journey, Qalandars provided a platform to young cricketers by setting up first-of-its-kind players development program.

Atif Rana wishes to defend PSL title

Speaking to GeoSuper.tv, Atif Rana shared his wish to become the first-ever team in PSL to defend its title.

"We have achieved so much during our PSL journey. It includes players' development program, open trials, setting up a high-performance center, and grooming superstars," he highlighted.

"The only thing we wish now is to become the first-ever team to win back-to-back PSL title," he shared.
