Nashville police ID man found fatally shot at Southeast Nashville apartment complex

Metro Nashville police are investigating another fatal shooting, the 5th case for the year in as many days.

Officers were called to an apartment complex in the 300 block of Hickory Trace Drive in southeast Nashville Thursday at about 7 a.m.

Lubunga Lumenge, 30, was found by a passerby in the grass outside his apartment. He died at the scene.

Residents at the complex said they a single gunshot around 4 a.m., according to a Metro Nashville Police news release.

The motive remains under investigation.
