Nashville police investigating homicide after Madison shooting

A 48-year-old man is dead after a shooting in Madison.

Nashville police were called to the 600 block of East Old Hickory Boulevard Wednesday evening in response to the shooting.

Timothy Fetter was found outside of his Pontiac GTO with multiple gunshot wounds, according to a news release from the Metro Nashville Police Department. He was taken to Skyline Medical Center, where he died.

Police believe the shots that killed Fetter came from someone in a light-colored sedan that sped away from the scene after the shooting. Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.

Fetter's death marks the city's ninth homicide of 2023.
