It’s that time of year again! Love is in the air and Valentine’s day is right around the corner, it’s time to make haste and make a reservation for a dining experience to delight you and your person. From fine French dining to dinner with a view of the whole city, we’ve found the best dinner spots around the hub.

Duck into this subterranean hideaway for a romantic dinner in the bustling space. In addition to the regular menu, Valentine’s Day specials include braised artichoke hearts with hazelnut butter, fried oysters and potato cream and a takeaway sweet box of assorted candies and chocolates.

Step into luxury at the Ritz Carlton right off the Commons for a $65 two course meal of watercress salad and your choice of filet mignon or squid ink lobster tortellini. Desserts will be available as well, or order from the regular dinner menu. The prix fixe will be available Friday, February 9th and Saturday, February 10th, and on Wednesday, February 14th.

Head to the South End, where chef Michael Serpa’s restaurant will be hosting a three course prix fixe for $75 that includes the choices of: hamachi crudo or crab toast; dayboat scallops or pulpo (octopus with white asparagus salad); and the choice of Maine halibut, filet mignon or Lobster Mariscada.

5. Bianca Woodfire Kitchen & Bar

The Chestnut Hill restaurant will be offering a special three course prix fixe menu, $75 per person for salad or goat cheese fritters to start, with a choice of housemade smoked ricotta agnolotti, roasted duck breast or wood fired grilled hamachi for a main, with an optional foie gras course and dessert. You can also order everything  a la carte. Bubbles by the glass and bottle as well as wine special pairings will be offered as well. This special menu will be available all week for dinner.

One of the most romantic restaurants in Boston – that view of the Public Garden can’t be beat – will be serving a romantic five-course prix fixe menu from Chef Robert Sisca. The French-inspired menu will cost $175 per person with an optional wine pairing for $90.

The romantic Italian restaurant will be offering a special five-course tasting menu on February 14th for $95 per person to celebrate amore. The menu will feature a choice of options including dishes like shrimp scampi, lamb chops, chocolate budino, and strawberry and persimmon pavlova.

8. Hook + Line

The newest hot spot in the Seaport is offering special menu additions on Valentine’s day, including Island Creek oysters with caviar, foie gras three ways, a wood grilled 72 hour short rib with pommes puree and king crab lasagnetti. They’ll also be serving a special menu of Valentine’s day desserts. Gorgeous views are included in your meal at no extra charge.

9. Little Whale Oyster Bar

This cozy Newbury St. newcomer Little Whale will be offering a three-course prix fixe menu for $75 per person. The menu will include the choice of: Salmon Crudo, Beet Salad or Crab Toast; Dayboat Scallops or Broccolini; and either Filet Mignon or Lobster Spaghettini.

In addition to the regular menu, Back Bay’s OAK Long Bar + Kitchen will serve a three course $100 per person prix fixe on Valentine’s day. Diners will enjoy a surf and turf arepa amuse, then an appetizer of sugar pumpkin and Maine lobster bisque or watercress and pomegranate salad. Next, choose between pan seared sea bass or a 20 oz t bone and finally a duck egg brûlée to finish. Also, for lovebirds, try the Loveseat Bar Experience, which is available for three days (Tuesday, 2/13 through Thursday, 2/15) where guests can reserve one of the bar’s two coveted Loveseat Bar Benches for $50 ($25 per person) during dinner hours.

The well regarded restaurant is offering a $155 per person tasting menu for the whole week of Valentine’s day, and it’s packed with bites like local oysters with blood orange granita, crudo with pomegranate and crispy red quinoa, glazed red shrimp with ruby red grapefruit and harissa butter, beet tortellini with duck confit and aged balsamic vinegar, grilled lamb loin with cranberry chutney and black garlic and dessert.

For a "rebellious" Valentine's Day, the restaurant at the Revere hotel will be offering a fun and flirty Lover’s Revolt menu. A specialty a la carte menu will offer special menu items to grab solo, with a date, or with a group. There will also be a DJ playing breakup songs.

Start with warm baked brie or chorizo stuffed dates, and for an entree, choose between Prime New York strip, sweet soy black bass or a vegetable risotto and finish with a sweets board and an espresso martini.

This Somerville classic, recently reopened with an Indian twist, will serve a five course prix fixe dinner (everyone at the table must order), and their regular menu. The prix fixe, for $45, includes Kashmiri deviled eggs, roasted root vegetable salad, gochujang wings or tikka tots, kerala fried chicken or Indian chili slides and a gulab jamun waffle paired with saffron kulfi, and finally a bubbly drink garnished with rose petals for toasting.

18. Sloane’s

One of our favorite newer spots for comfort food, diners will find a $150 prix fixe for two that includes bang bang shrimp or tallegio and brie dip to start, followed by a choice of charred Prime New York strip, seared heritage bone in pork chop or mushroom risotto, followed by a shared milkshake for two with a brownie! A glass of wine or prosecco is included.

The Newton Centre staple is offering a selection of menu additions on February 13th and 14th. Tuck into the intimate, European feeling space for dishes such as braised short rib raviolo with roasted thumbelina carrots, swordfish a la plancha and roasted duck breast.

20. View Boston

For a completely unforgettable dinner, head to View Boston, atop Boston’s Prudential Tower. The Beacon bistro will be offering a divine 3-course prix fixe menu for $125 per person. Start with options like lobster bisque or arugula salad with candied walnuts and gorgonzola cheese. For the main course, savor roasted halibut, braised short ribs, or roasted chicken. End your meal with a choice of strawberry red velvet cake or flourless chocolate cake. Not to mention the romantic 360-degree views of the Boston skyline.
