Storrs, Conn. - The University of Connecticut women's ice hockey team heads to Providence, RI to take on No. 13 Providence in a Hockey East matchup on Friday night. Â
Entering the matchup, No. 14 UConn holds a 16-8-2 overall record and a 10-7-2 conference record. Additionally, the Huskies have won their last five games. Last game, UConn swept the season series against No. 15 Boston College by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday Jan. 17.Â
Highlighting last game was Jada Habisch as Habisch knocked in two goals on the night. Currently, Habisch leads in scoring for the Huskies with nine goals; including five assists and 14 points. Â

Heading into the matchup, Providence is 17-8-2 overall and 12-6-2 in Hockey East play. Last game, Providence tied with Boston University 2-2 on Tuesday. Leading the way for the Friars is Sara Hjalmarsson with 15 goals, 14 assists, and 29 points this season. Â
UConn swept the home and home series against Providence last time they played on Nov. 11 and Nov. 12. The Huskies won the first game 2-1 in Storrs and then won the second game 2-1 in Providence.Â
