While the team's hockey operations group was busy this past offseason fortifying what stands as an impressive roster, the franchise's innovation and experience team was working hard on game-changing upgrades to the Kraken app. Tech is at the heart of how the Kraken connects with fans, starting with an app developed in-house with developers and designers.
As the puck drops at 7 p.m. Saturday to begin the first homestand of the 2022-23 season, it is most decidedly time to update your Kraken app (easy to do on your phone's app store by searching "Seattle Kraken"). If you haven't downloaded the free Kraken app you can do so
HERE
- especially if you crave more coverage of Kraken hockey along with all of the ticket, parking information, and FAQs you need.

The app has been refreshed with a new home page, plus expanded player profile sections, more in-game highlights, a fast-to-app game video recap, plus all of the game coverage and hockey analytics fans enjoyed last season. There will be more in-depth info about individual players, the NHL, and what we call Hockey 101/201/301 stories to explain the sport's details and attraction. Check it out, hockey fans, you won't be disappointed.
A major upgrade this season: Fans in the arena can listen live to our radiocast via headphones/earbuds in real-time with, importantly, no time lag if you are using the app. The KJR 950/93.3 radio duo of play-by-play man Everett Fitzhugh and analyst Dave Tomlinson have never sounded better! Everett and Dave not only call the game action, they explain rules, give context to why a penalty was called, the reason a goal was reviewed, notice nuances fans might not see in the speed of the game, and more.
There is now merchandise available for purchase through the Kraken app. The inventory will be refreshed after every few games and fans will discover items of the game and app-specific options. You can support the Kraken inside Climate Pledge Arena, across the Pacific Northwest, and the world. One tip: You can skip the line (though fans routinely remark how fast it goes) and order ahead of time for even easier pick-up.
On the merchandise must-have list: There will be a full line of Buoy-themed items (plushies coming soon) and a new line of Filson looks. Plus, in a cool development, the Climate Pledge movement now has a retail location at the south end of The Living Wall, one of Seattle's favorite selfie locations.
