Honasa Consumers, parent company of D2C brand, Mamaearth filed its DRHP a few days ago
Mamaearth IPO comprises a fresh issue of equity shares worth Rs 400 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) component of 4,68,19,635 equity shares. The company plans to raise $3 billion from the IPO
The IPO will see several investors of Mamaearth exiting including Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra, and Snapdeal co-founders, Kunal Bahl and Rohit Kumar Bansal
Honasa intends to utilise the funds raised from the IPO towards advertising expenses to improve awareness and visibility of the brands, for opening new salons, inorganic acquisitions, and for setting up new exclusive brand outlets
Ghazal and Varun Alagh started Mamaearth in 2016. Mamaearth's products are said to be natural or plant-based. In addition, they are certified safe as well as effective
Mamaearth has a portfolio of six brands of which BBlunt, Momspresso, and Dr Sheth’s have been acquired
The company gets its products contractually manufactured through 37 units and sells its products through online and offline channels
Sequoia Capital, one of Mamaearth’s major investors, will not be selling its shares
For the six months ending September 2022, the company posted revenues of Rs 722 crore and profits of Rs 3.6 crore

- Offline channels: Rs 255 crore
- Services: Rs 38 crore
