Gurugram (Haryana) [India], February 1: Footprints Childcare, a known name in the preschool and early education space, enters a collaboration with Haryana Institute of Public Administration (HIPA), Gurugram, under the aegis of the Government of Haryana, to empower women & offers them the opportunity to be financially independent. Under the association, women are offered pre-primary teacher training, enabling them to take up job opportunities in early childhood education as well as to set up their own preschool.

The training, held daily from 10 am-1pm, for a period of 2.5 months, covers all facets of early development & gives aspiring teachers a solid grounding in learning theories as well as their application. Importantly, the training equips teachers with the necessary skills to ensure that they can make a difference in the lives of little learners.

The training will go a long way in empowering women to be financially independent, as it will open doors for sustainable employment opportunities. Several of the teachers can also go on to set up small enterprises by way of quality playschools and daycare centers. The availability of quality day care centers, will, in turn, encourage a whole lot of other women to step into the workforce. The training will therefore have a cascading effect in improving the overall participation of women in the workforce. Studies have shown that 90% of the development of the human brain, the command center of the body, is accomplished by age five. It is the quality of care, interaction and stimulation offered by adult caregivers and teachers that go a long way in the child’s development.
