American Family Field in Milwaukee on Thursday, March 10, 2022. It's a fair assumption the Milwaukee Brewers this year will begin the process of seeking upwards of $100 million dollars in public financing help for future renovations at American Family Field.

Baseball is still more than a month away, but if you're looking for something to thaw your heart (if not your ice-smothered car), the Brewers expect a number of new elements at American Family Field for the 2023 season.

The Brewers' season begins in Chicago on March 30 and shifts to Milwaukee for the home opener April 3 against the Mets. Individual game tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, available at Brewers.com or by calling 1-800-933-7890 (plus at the stadium ticket office).

A value menu with items for $4

The team's "414 Menu" will be available at 12 concession stands around the ballpark, an offering of four a la carte items for $4 each. That includes a junior hot dog, junior nachos, Cracker Jack and a 16-ounce soda.

The Brewers also said they're reducing prices on more than 15 additional food items this season.

The return of the left-field restaurant

Renderings show the outside of the Barrel Yard restaurant space inside American Family Field. It opened in spring of 2023 in place of the Restaurant To Be Named Later.

J. Leinenkugel's Barrel Yard, the stadium restaurant heretofore known as The Restaurant To Be Named Later (and previously Friday's Front Row Grill) plans to open April 3 for opening day.

The remodeled spot includes specialty beers brewed onsite by Leinenkugel's and a full-service bar and restaurant.

Kids can get autographs on Sunday again

The team had previously announced a "Sunday Fun-Day" package with cheaper prices for families during Sunday home games. Packages of four terrace outfield tickets (as well as four hot dogs, four sodas and a general parking pass) are available for purchase for $59, on sale immediately. The Brewers are also bringing back Autograph Sundays, a promotion for kids where select players and Brewers personalities will be available from 11:50 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. every Sunday home game from April through August to sign autographs. The players will set up shop by warning-track seats, with up to six different stations each Sunday. Autographs are limited to one per child, and full-sized bats aren't permitted.

Kids 14 and under can also run the bases after Sunday home games.

A new audio system and entertainment squad to make use of it

The popular Racing Sausages compete during their regular middle of the sixth inning race at American Family Field.

American Family Field has installed a new state-of-the-art audio system, the first time it's been upgraded since the stadium was completed in 2001. Colored LED lights have been added to the scoreboard apparatus and fireworks for home runs and wins will return for every home game.

The Brewers will also debut the 4-1-Force entertainment squad, designed to pump up the crowd. They'll be throwing T-shirts into the stands, leading in-game entertainment and otherwise interacting with fans throughout the game.

New places to buy merchandise

The team said the Brewers Clubhouse Shop has expanded with a new shop on the field-level concourse on the first-base side. Fans will be able to buy a variety of patches at the new Brewers Team Store Hat Shop, located on the third base side and open on game days.
