Event on March 9 in Melbourne will bring together a range of speakers to address the issue related to the sustainable development goals.

 SEVENTEENx speaking events for the Sustainable Development Goals returns to Melbourne on March 9 at Stone & Chalk’s “The Basement ” venue with six incredible , Melbourne based impact speakers.

If you missed it last time they were in town, SEVENTEENx is like a TEDx for good, bringing purpose driven business leaders together to showcase the growing trend of businesses having an impact beyond the dollar signs. 

As a part of the Australian tour in 2023; Melbourne is stop number one of an eight-event roadshow that will travel to capital cities over the whole year.

From topics covering equality, climate, ESG, responsible consumption, innovation, poverty, education and more this format is to provide a conversation and connection platform for all things sustainability and social enterprise.

The event comprises six speakers from social enterprise, small to medium business, all the way through to corporate ESG leaders, speaking how they are creating impact in the world through their business aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and making money at the same time. Yes this is possible and is fast becoming the new way businesses must operate.

Each speaker has 17 minutes each to showcase their impact with a highly engaged audience of like minded changemakers and business leaders of all shapes and sizes.

Some of the speakers for this event include:

Geoff Gourley (FAIM AICD) founder of impact investment fund and director of ESG at Apricot

Nicholas Verginis CEO of SENVIC Social Enterprise Network Victoria

Tara Anderson CEO of Social Traders

Dr Mohammad Alamgir Hossain from RMIT Business and Human Rights Centre

Benjamin J. Bickford CEO of BIONIC Corporation

Moderating will be Pro Bono News editor Isabelle Oderberg.

Food and drink is provided during the night over networking breaks in the schedule.
