SEATTLE — A 63-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing a 29-year-old in downtown Seattle early Saturday morning.
The Seattle Police Department said officers arrived to the intersection of Third Avenue South and South Main Street just after 2:30 a.m. and found a man with a "non-life-threatening stab wound to his shoulder." The Seattle Fire Department provided aid at the scene and took the man to Harborview Medical Center, police said.
The 29-year-old said he was stabbed near the intersection of Queen Anne Avenue North and Mercer Street after getting into a "verbal argument with an unknown man prior to boarding a bus," police said.
Officers searched for the suspect and found him at Third Avenue and Union Street before taking him into custody, police said.
Police said they recovered a knife and stolen firearm, which turned out to be stolen. In addition to the stabbing, the man was arrested for possession of a stolen firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm, police said.
The suspect was taken to Harborview Medical Center for a previous injury before being booked in King County jail.
