TULSA, Okla. − A 17-year-old was shot by a 15-year-old, according to the Tulsa Police Department (TPD).

TPD said at around 7:00 p.m., they were called to an apartment complex near 91st and Riverside in regards to a 17-year-old who was shot.

At this time, police believe the victim was shot by a 15-year-old when the two were playing with a gun.

TPD said the shooting currently appears unintentional, but the investigation is still ongoing.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he later underwent surgery, according to TPD.

TPD said the 15-year-old was arrested for possession of a firearm after juvenile adjudication and for reckless handling of a firearm.
