The Owls rolled to a 75-51 victory over eighth-seeded Western Kentucky on Thursday. Davis had 14 points and three steals while Goldin and Nick Boyd each scored 12 points. The defense was smothering, holding the Hilltoppers to just 27.3% shooting.
Weston knocked down a step-back 3-pointer with 12.7 seconds left and Dishman blocked Charlotte's last shot for a 66-65 win on Thursday. Weston led Middle Tennessee with 22 points, Justin Bufford added 12 and Dishman finished with 10 points and nine rebounds.
The Blue Raiders are 22-9 all-time against Florida Atlantic after losing 85-67 in Boca Raton on Jan. 26 and winning in Murfreesboro 74-70 on Feb. 16. The Owls' lone NCAA tournament bid came in 2002 while Middle Tennessee made the most recent of its nine trips in 2017.
