For those waiting for Dillon Brooks to respond to Draymond Green, they got their wish in the second quarter of the Memphis Grizzlies' win over the Golden State Warriors on Thursday.

After a Brooks steal, he drove and scored on Green. The two got tied up and were face-to-face as Brooks started talking and kept talking even after being separated by the nearest referee. Fans in FedExForum stood and cheered it on while Green said nothing.

It was the moment people expected after Green delivered a vicious rant at Brooks Wednesday following Brooks' comments on Green in an ESPN feature last week. Fans didn't sit down until the end of the quarter when the Grizzlies pushed their lead to 18 points.

The first half didn't have many non-game related fireworks but for fans of this rivalry and NBA fans who like pettiness, Brooks showed it in full glory. He didn't stop because in the fourth quarter, he took a turn at Stephen Curry.

After Brooks scored on a layup, he forced a turnover by Curry on the sidelines. That prompted Brooks to yell at the crowd and start talking even more at the Warriors for the next few seconds. TNT even showed Brooks talking smack to each member of the Warriors during a free throw.

It was the fireworks many expected and Brooks, who finished with 14 points and six assists, relished in it. He also kept his emotions in enough check to avoid his 17th technical foul, which would've cost him a $5,000 fine.
