Pottstown is getting ready to enact a new list of what churches (and, presumably, mosques and synagogues) are allowed and not allowed to do. It’s about time somebody with true authority settled this. These groups need to understand that, just like the rest of us, they ultimately answer to a higher power — the zoning board.

Reporters asked President Biden to comment about the million-dollar bank payment the Biden family received from a Chinese company, and Joe angrily responded, “That’s not true.” Unfortunately for Joe, bank transfers are very well documented and his son’s lawyer confirmed that the payment had occurred. Hunter’s lawyer called it seed money. Other than the family wealth, I wonder what the Bidens were cultivating.

Unbelievable! The city of Philadelphia just paid out $2.95 million to settle a class-action lawsuit on behalf of the protestors from the Spring of 2020. So the police are just supposed to let these criminals damage vehicles, disrupt traffic, and vandalize and loot businesses? Newspaper reports, “State lawmakers host hearing in Berks on preventing youth violence.” Three of Pa.’s dumbest senators, Katie Muth, Art Haywood and Judy Schwank met in Berks county to solve the violence problem that their soft-on-crime policies have created. I’ll bet that discussions regarding cohesive family units and real discipline were not part of the recommended solutions. Was the public invited to this event?

Jay. Miller, Hunter Biden has a JD degree. This is the basic law degree. No one but you calls it a doctorate. Certainly, no reputable lawyer without a Ph.D. or LLD would use that term. Everyone should be asking — Why would anyone want to make sexually explicit books available to children? Aren’t there any books that cater to the LGBTQ community that don’t have graphic sexual content in them? In a public school setting, with taxpayer-funding money, why should those types of books be made available to children? Did anyone notice the difference? Contrast the difference between the 2008 and 2023 banking problems. Who else saw Biden’s Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen testify before the Senate Finance Committee last week on Capitol Hill? It was not only embarrassing (as we’re now accustomed to with Biden’s cabinet picks), it was downright shocking. Not only does Memaw Yellen look old enough to be Geritol Joe’s mother, but she’s also woefully ignorant of the current economic crisis caused by Biden’s fiscal policies. I have the answer, I just heard that Japan laid off half their road workers by inventing a shovel that sets on its own with no one leaning on it. New polls show that 21 percent of Fox News viewers place less trust in the network since the revelations from the Dominion lawsuit, and 13 percent no longer believe the election was stolen after reading the leaked texts from Fox hosts and executives. I find these viewers’ lack of faith disturbing, but I know Sound Off posters will stay strong!

So, Biden finally agrees to a scaled-down allowance of some drilling in Alaska to help offset his previous poor decisions in regard to oil production. Good news for U.S. consumers, right? Not so fast, as now the tree huggers are threatening lawsuits to hold up the project in the courts for years. This is one of many reasons why our country continues to fail to get anything accomplished in a timely manner.
If you complain about the material in libraries, let me ask you this: Do your children have cell phones? Do you monitor the content they read? Do they send questionable texts to each other? What is the music, including lyrics, they listen to on their phones? Which apps are available to them? TikTok maybe?

I wrote earlier about attending local government meetings. Attending meetings in person can require a significant time commitment, but it will better enable you to have your voice heard than through online meetings. Communicate with your local representatives and tell them what local issues are important to you. Ask what they feel are the most pressing local issues, and where they stand on those and other issues within their control.
