CONCORD — A 19-year-old Martinez woman was arrested late Tuesday on suspicion of being one of two people involved in a fatal shooting outside a shopping center, police said.

Detectives arrested Haley Sparks Hadsell on Tuesday night, hours after the shooting, Concord police said in a statement. The gunfire was reported at the shopping center in the 2100 block of Solano Way about 9:45 a.m.

A male victim died at the scene, and another was taken by ambulance to a hospital. The man who died was identified as Eric Cavazos, 21, of Concord; the other man was his stepfather.

Hadell is one of two suspects in the shooting, police said. Police identified the other as Sione “Ono” Amanaki, 20, of Concord. Police said Amanaki is known to authorities and may be hiding out in Oakland.

The homicide was the first one investigated by Concord police in 11 months.
