Fire Breaks Out On Boston Boat Docked In Seaport

BOSTON, MA — The Boston Fire Department rushed to Seaport late Friday night to extinguish a fire on the lower level of the Spirit of Boston, according to the department.

Photos show crews on the scene around 11:30 p.m. as heavy smoke can be seen coming from the ship.

There was no one on board when the fire broke out, Boston Fire said.

The fire was knocked down by 11:46 p.m., according to the department.

The Spirit of Boston is a four-level dining vessel with three interior dining decks and two exterior observation decks, according to City Experiences' website. The boat holds 600 occupants and includes onboard DJ entertainment and interactive games.
