Report: Last Downtown McDonald's to permanently close in April
UNDERNEATH THE REBUILT BRIDGE AND APPEARS TO BE THE END OF AN ERA FOR THE FOOD SCENE IN DOWNTOWN PITTSBURGH. THE LAST REMAINING MCDONALD’S WILL CLOSE ITS DOORS. THE RESTAURANT AT THE CORNER OF LIBERTY AND STANWICK IS EXPECTED TO CLOSE PERMANENTLY NEXT MONTH. ACCORDING TO A REPORT FROM THE POST-GAZETTE. Report: Last Downtown McDonald's to permanently close in April
It appears to be the end of an era for the food scene in downtown Pittsburgh.The last remaining McDonald's is set to close its doors.The restaurant at the corner of Liberty Avenue and Stanwix Street is expected to close permanently in April. According to a report from the Post-Gazette, the owners said McDonald's chose not to exercise two 5-year options it had to extend the lease. This would mean McDonald's would no longer have a presence in downtown Pittsburgh. The Golden Arches once had at least four locations in the Golden Triangle.

It appears to be the end of an era for the food scene in downtown Pittsburgh.
