Police ID man, 52, killed in Hartford shooting

A 52-year-old man was killed in a shooting early Sunday in Hartford, police said.

Officers responded at about 3:13 a.m. to a ShotSpotter activation in the 1100 block of Albany Avenue, according to the Hartford Police Department.

Uriah Alexander, 52, of 234 Woodland Ave. in Bloomfield, was found unresponsive suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

First responders administered emergency aid but their efforts were unsuccessful and Alexander was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
