A storm system is approaching that will give Siouxland widespread rain and thunderstorms Thursday night and Friday. Friday's storms could turn severe later in the day and that is the reason for a First Alert Weather Day on Friday.
Storms will fire up from Monday evening into Monday night and become more widespread over time continuing throughout the day Tuesday as well. Severe storms will be possible with hail the biggest threat.
It has been a dreary end to our weekend here in Siouxland with most of the area under a bed of cloud cover and a line of storms developing across portions of central and northern Siouxland this afternoon and into the early evening hours.
While Friday is looking very nice, changes arrive this weekend with some very gusty winds and a chance of a few strong to severe storms by Saturday evening.
The very gusty wind from Wednesday will settle down a bit over the next couple of days as we'll warm up some before rain chances arrive over the weekend.
