LIVONIA — The first Chicken Guy! restaurant in Michigan opens this Saturday, April 1.

"The people of The Motor City have spoken…I’m bringin’ my real deal chicken tenders, sandwiches, and shakes to Livonia," celebrity chef Guy Fieri said in a release. "From shooting DDD ("Diner, Drive-ins and Dives”) to taking part in the Woodward Dream Cruise, the Detroit area has always been a go-to for me, so I’m stoked for everyone to give us a try. See ya there!"

The doors will open at 11 a.m. at the restaurant, 30130 Plymouth Road. Chicken Guy! will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.

Livonia police and fire personnel will be able to snag a free meal — including a chicken sandwich and a side of their choice — on opening day by showing their badge. The restaurant will also offer a variety of prizes and giveaways during the grand opening.

Fieri plans to open 20 Chicken Guy! restaurants in southeast Michigan in the near future, the first of which is in Livonia. The restaurant serves up chicken strips and sandwiches along with over 20 dipping sauces.
