It's almost that time of year! Country music fans' ultimate weekend is slowly approaching as the CMA Fest 2023 official lineup was finally announced. This June, cowboy boots and wide brim hats are looking to flood Nashville as some of music's biggest names gather for one of the year's most anticipated events.

As the longest running country music festival gears up to celebrate its 50th year, it's expected to host tens of thousands of fans from all over the country. With legendary performances from artists like LeAnn Rimes, Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Chris Stapleton and many more, this year's lineup announcement still caused some frustration among fans.

While some people expressed their excitement by writing "Yes please! 🙌" and "My favorite time of the year 🔥🔥", there were some notable names who failed to make the cut, and fans made their disappointment known in the comment section with messages like:

  • "no @carrieunderwood ???? Say it ain’t so!!!!!"

  • "Can’t wait!! But wait where’s Zac Brown and Darius Rucker??!"

  • "So where’s Carrie? Kelsea? Morgan?"

  • "@cma where are the OG artists at? Brooks and Dunn, Garth? Uggg"

Usually, when a major name (like Carrie Underwood or Kelsea Ballerini) is missing from the lineup, it can be caused by conflicting concert dates, but after looking at their tour schedules, both ladies are free during June 8-11.

After last year's performance from Carrie that brought down the house, we were just as shocked to see her name missing from this list. And, with Kelsea's new EP having its viral moment, we're just as surprised not to see her name make the cut as well.

Despite the two big names missing from this year's festival, it's hard to deny how epic the existing lineup is, and we can't wait to witness country music's biggest names come together for one spectacular event.
