Tennessee baseball gets walk-off win against Texas A&M to claim SEC series

No. 12 Tennessee defeated No. 18 Texas A&M 8-7 on Saturday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium to win the SEC series between the two defending division champions.

The Vols (18-6, 2-3 SEC), who trailed 7-4, won the game on a walk-off sacrifice fly by Jared Dickey that scored Christian Moore with the winning run.

The Aggies (15-8, 1-4) took a 2-0 lead in the first inning for a second consecutive game.

Tennessee pulled to within, 2-1, in the bottom of the inning as Blake Burke singled home Maui Ahuna, who led off and was hit by a pitch.

The Vols took the lead with two runs in the second as Ahuna hit a two-run double and Moore drove in a run with a sacrifice fly.

Texas A&M scored four runs in the sixth inning and added one more run in the seventh inning to take a 7-4 lead.

Tennessee tied the game, 7-7, in the seventh inning.

It was the third consecutive win for Tennessee after being swept by Missouri to open SEC play.

Camden Sewell (1-0) pitched 0.2 innings of scoreless relief to earn his first win of the season.
