Seattle Seahawks 'Private' Meeting with Alabama QB Bryce Young; Surprise at No. 5?

"Private'' is a tricky word.
Given that the Seattle Seahawks' recent Pro Day and pre-NFL Draft meetings with top QB prospects have been the subject of the team's media crew playing "Candid Camera,'' there is not very much that is "private'' about a recent session in Tuscaloosa featuring Bryce Young.
So here, "private'' doesn't mean "shrouded in secrecy.'' Rather, the Seahawks - who thanks to the Russell Wilson trade bonanza own two picks in the top 20, including pick No. 5 - are evaluating options in part by engaging in "private'' meetings with guys like Alabama QB Young.
"Private'' as in, "separate from the rest of the prospects at Pro Days.''
According to Albert Breer of SI, the Seahawks sent a “contingent” led by head coach Pete Carroll, general manager John Schneider, offensive coordinator Shane Waldron and quarterbacks coach Greg Olson to meet - "privately'' - with Young.
And yes, the Seahawks also are all over the Pro Days of C.J. Stroud and Anthony Richardson and Will Levis ... surely compete with some level of "private'' interview session.
Carroll has expressed a high comfort level with each of the top QB prospects while at the same time expressing faith in incumbent QB Geno Smith, who just signed a team-friendly extension that allows the Seahawks some flexibility in terms of their commitment at QB.
Will Young be available No. 5? That seems doubtful. Will one of the top QBs be available? The math suggests "yes.'' Will Seattle draft a QB at 5?
That, for now, remains "private.''
