Underage Female Sexually Assaulted By Georgia Man, Newington Police Charge
The suspect is being held on $250,000 bond after being extradited from a Georgia sheriff's office.
NEWINGTON, CT — A 41-year-old Georgia man has been charged by Newington police in connection with the repeated sexual assault of an underage female over a four-year period.
According to the Newington Police Department Friday, Miquel Angel Grados, 41, of Jonesboro, Ga., has been charged with five counts of first-degree sexual assault.
The investigation was conducted by Newington police detectives, with police saying the alleged crimes happened between 2011 and 2015.

Police said the assaults continued "on several occassions" within Newington during that time period.
According to the NPD, Grados has, since, relocated to Jonesboro, Ga.

As a result, Newington police, after obtaining an arrest warrant, worked out extradition arrangements with the Clayton County Sheriff's Office in Georgia, which took Grados into custody April 21.
On Wednesday, May 3, the suspect was officially extradited back to Connecticut, Newington police said.
According to police, Grados was held on a $250,000 bond and was presented in New Britain Superior Court on Thursday.
