Missing Link BBQ in Somerset has added an outdoor dining space equipped with lawn games.

Missing Link adds outdoor space

Just in time for summer, outdoor dining is officially open at Missing Link BBQ. Now you can grab some Texas-style barbecue with a New England flair and enjoy it on site at one of several picnic tables set up at their fenced-in Lees River Avenue spot, which is also stocked with lawn games. And in an effort to get folks to sit back and stay awhile, the owners are in search of musical talent to perform on the weekends at their new outdoor space. Type of vibe: acoustic, blues, soft rock, oldies, covers, jazz. Think you fit the bill? For more information, visit their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/missinglinkbbq.

Barrett’s Waterfront in Fall River recently debuted their new sushi menu, available daily.

Calling all sushi lovers

Barrett’s Waterfront is mixing things up this May with the rollout of their new sushi menu. According to their Facebook page, "Barrett's sushi chefs have created an extensive menu made with the freshest seafood and packed FULL of flavor." And they went big -- with an array of classic rolls, like California or shrimp tempura, to specialty rolls, like the Wasabi Crunch, Rainbow or Waterfront Roll, to towers and poke bowls. Head to Barrett's Waterfront, 1082 Davol St., Fall River, and get a piece any day of the week. The sushi menu is available daily from 3 to 9 p.m.

Polish festival returns

It's time once again for pierogis and polka. The annual St. Stanislaus Polish Festival returns the weekend of June 9 and 10 with a lineup of food, music, and fun to help mark a parish milestone. On Friday, from 5 to 9 p.m., you can dance the night away with The Eddie Forman Orchestra and catch a special performance by the Junior Polish Dancers at 6 p.m. On Saturday, from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. the Baltic Boys Polka Band will be entertaining. The long-running summer festival would not be complete, of course, without hitting the food tents for some authentic homemade Polish fare and American favorites. Also on deck will be a raffle, Kiddie Land, and jewelry and ice cream available for purchase. This year, St. Stanislaus will also celebrate its 125th anniversary with a display of pictures and memorabilia highlighting the history of the parish and school. St. Stanislaus Parish is located at 37 Rockland St., Fall River.
