Florida State is positioning itself on the recruiting trail ahead of an important month of June where the program will host multiple recruits on official visits. Throughout the cycle, the coaching staff has made it a priority to pursue elite talent in the talent-rich local regions of Florida and Georgia.

To that point, all 11 of the Seminoles' verbal commitments hail from the Sunshine State or the Peach State. FSU is making plenty of traction in both states that have a chance of paying off in the long run.

On Saturday, four-star tight end Kylan Fox returned to Tallahassee for the first time since January. It was an important visit for him to continue building relationships with the coaching staff.

"Just getting back on campus," Fox said to NoleGameday's Dustin Lewis. "Seeing new stuff. Talking with the coaches, keep building great relationships."

The Georgia native has been forming a stronger connection with tight ends coach Chris Thomsen throughout the process. Thomsen watched Fox practice during the spring.

"Just talking more and more every day," Fox said. "He came and watched me practice and I fully expect him to be there in the fall when I play as well. The relationship that I have with him is very good."

Fox also sat down with head coach Mike Norvell for an extensive conversation. He's looking for a coach that will develop him on and off the field at the next level.

"Being off the field, stuff like that," Fox said. "Being able to develop me as a man, as a husband, father, everything like that. Just making sure he's a coach to me on and off the field."

An important aspect of the trip was learning about how the different tight ends are used in Florida State's offense. Fox thinks that he'd be tough for opposing teams to guard if he chooses the Seminoles.

"I got to see how all of the tight ends that they have were involved in spring ball," Fox said. "They're definitely a lot of vertical threats. They just stretch out the field very well.

"FSU, they use their tight ends a lot," Fox continued. "75% twelve personnel. They stretch the field vertically with the tight ends so they make them hard to be covered."

Outside of the coaching staff, at least one commitment is trying to get Fox to join him in Florida State's 2024 class. That is none other than five-star tight end Landen Thomas. Fox says that the two have a tight bond.

"He wants me to come play with him," Fox said. "We've been growing up playing against each other our childhood. It'd just be good to be on the big stage together."

Though Fox didn't name a leader coming out of the visit, he acknowledged that he feels at home at Florida State. The proximity and relationships have him

"Feeling at home here. Like an hour and 30 away from where I'm from," Fox said. "It's like I said, the relationships I have with the coaches and everybody, it just feels great here."

Florida State will be the final program to have Fox on campus ahead of his decision this summer. He's planning to announce a commitment in the weeks following three official visits next month. Fox will visit UCF on June 2-4 and Miami on June 9-11 before concluding his travels in Tallahassee on June 23-25.

The 6-foot-4, 208-pound tight end is regarded as the No. 129 overall prospect, the No. 9 ATH, and the No. 21 recruit in the state of Georgia according to 247Sports.
