The value of teacher salaries across Jersey City school district’s salary scale will grow by 4% annually for the next four years under a new contract that the Board of Education is expected to vote on Thursday.

The Jersey City Education Association (JCEA) has negotiated a four-year contract with a variety of economic gains for teachers in a district that, like so many, has struggled to retain and attract staff since the COVID-19 pandemic.
