See Wayne County Coronavirus Cases For Last 10 Days

The county averaged significantly fewer new coronavirus cases and deaths from May 12-21 than from April 12-21.

WAYNE COUNTY, MI — Over 9,000 cases of the coronavirus and more than 1,000 deaths have been reported in Wayne County.

While the number may seem overwhelming by itself, the county has seen a positive trend in recent weeks as the number of new coronavirus cases has trended downward. The county averaged significantly fewer new cases and deaths from May 12-21 than from April 12-21.

As the data shows, more than 100 new cases were reported only twice during the last 10 days in Wayne County. That detail is crucial when comparing the last 10 days to the same data range from a month ago.

As a whole, the county reported 657 new cases over the last 10 days, an average of 65.7 new cases a day. The county reported 102 new deaths over the last 10 days, an average of 10.2 new deaths a day.

From April 12-21, Wayne County reported 2,025 new cases. That's over 202 new cases a day, on average. Meanwhile, the county reported 274 new deaths in that data range, an average of 27.4 a day.
