Lehigh Valley Puerto Rican Day Parade and Festival: The parade and festival is back on Sunday with Johnny Rivera and more to celebrate Puerto Rican culture in downtown Allentown. 11 a.m., flag-raising ceremony at Allentown City Hall, 435 Hamilton St.; Noon, the parade begins at North Fifth and Hamilton streets. At 1 p.m., the festival begins at Executive Education Academy Charter School. Allentown Health Bureau will provide COVID-19 vaccines. Parade is Free. Williams Township Fire Co. Carnival: A week of fun winds up Friday and Saturday. The carnival began Monday and runs through Saturday, with rides, games, food and music, by the Rock Solid Band on Friday, and by PopRoxx on Saturday. Dragon Boat Festival: The Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley presents its third annual Dragon Boat Festival at Evergreen Lake. Proceeds benefit the Cancer Support Community. Emmaus Founders Day Dinner: Celebrating the 1747 founding of Emmaus by Sebastian Knauss and Jacob Ehrenhardt, the dinner will be held 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Emmaus Moravian Church. Joshua Fink of the Lehigh Valley Historical Society will be guest speaker. Music will be provided by the Williams Duo, a harp and classic guitarist. Dinner will be by Licensed to Grill.
