A large public school, Northern Kentucky University is located seven miles southeast of Cincinnati, OH, in suburban Highland Heights, KY. NKU’s 70-plus majors span from 3D Digital Design to Sports Business and Event Management. Each semester, certain courses participate in the Mayerson Student Philanthropy Project, in which classmates are given a sum of money and decide which non-profit to donate to. Greek life is popular at NKU, with more than 1,000 students belonging to one of the 23 fraternities and sororities on
campus. Academy Award-winning actor George Clooney attended NKU, where he majored in Broadcast Journalism before dropping out of school to pursue a career in acting.
