Home for Healing celebrating 20 years with a weekend block party

Little Rock (KATV) — Home for Healing celebrated their 20th anniversary on Saturday with the "The 20 Years on the Block Party."

The Block Party was a free community event open to the public and was hosted by The 4300 Club, a young professionals’ group that supports the Home.

The celebration was held on the grounds of Home for Healing at 4300 West Markham Street, Little Rock, AR 72205.

Home for Healing is a local nonprofit that provides free lodging for individuals undergoing cancer treatment, parents of infants in the NICU, and families with loved ones in the ICU in Little Rock hospitals. It is entirely funded by donations, grants, and sponsorships.

Since 2003, the Home has housed over 8,800 guests from every county in Arkansas, 37 states, and seven foreign countries. These guests have included the parents of over 800 babies, including 65 sets of twins and 9 sets of triplets.

Partygoers enjoyed local entertainment, family games and activities, food trucks, and live music by Whiskey Menders and DJ Man E Faces.

They also had the opportunity to take tours of the Home and visit the booths of partnering organizations.
