Marana was a very small town back in the early 1970s, incorporated in 1977. Now it is considered one of the fastest-growing towns in the United States. The town’s programs are plenty, for all ages, and either free or of very low cost. They have a fantastic Fourth of July celebration with an outstanding fireworks show. The schools are all A+. They have a magnificent Christmas performance and tree lighting with entertainment and free gifts for the children. Marana has a free “Splash Pad” in the Gladden Farms area, and will be installing another in a different part of the town.

Stories About Marana

I myself belong to the senior center where I have met so many wonderful people. The programs for the seniors is outstanding. Once a year, they have a “Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.” This year the police gave a canine demonstration, and in turn, the seniors fed all the police personnel.
