Honda Cars India is all set to take the wraps off its new Elevate mid-size SUV for the Indian market on June 6, 2023. The company has already released a series of teasers and a few details about the Honda Elevate SUV. Currently, Honda’s India portfolio includes the Amaze and the City. Ahead of the global premiere, here is what to expect from the Honda Elevate SUV.

Honda Elevate: Design
In terms of design, the upcoming Honda Elevate SUV is expected to take design cues from the Honda HR-V and the Honda CR-V on sale globally. Likely to share the underpinnings with the Honda City, the Honda Elevate will measure 4.2 to 4.3 metres in length.
According to the latest teaser released by the brand, Elevate SUV will receive a single-pan sunroof, unlike the most mass-market SUVs in India. Other details that are visible in the teaser images include a shark-fin antenna at the rear and aluminum finish roof rails. As far as features are concerned, the Honda Elevate will come equipped with LED DRLs at the front, body-coloured door handles and ORVMs, wrap-around tail-lamps, and a light bar connecting tail-lamps at the rear.
Honda Elevate: Features
Honda might be offering the Elevate mid-size SUV with Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) on the higher-spec variants. We expect the company will provide more details on the feature front as the launch nears.

Honda Elevate: Engine
Honda has not revealed any mechanical details, however, we expect the Elevate SUV to be powered by the same 1.5-litre i-VTEC four-cylinder engine as the fifth-gen Honda City. The engine produces a peak power of 117 hp and a max torque of 145 Nm. Transmission options include a six-speed manual transmission and a CVT unit.
Honda Elevate: Expected price and rivals
The Honda Elevate is expected to be priced competitively between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom) in the Indian market. Entering into the mid-size SUV segment, the Elevate will take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and the MG Hector in terms of performance and features.
