A reserve wide receiver on the Georgia football team was arrested early Monday in Oconee County on multiple charges including driving under the influence of drugs.

Sophomore De’Nylon Morrisette from Stone Mountain was also charged with driving too fast for conditions, following too closely and violating Class D restrictions of not driving between midnight and 5 a.m. He was arrested at 3:33 a.m. and booked at 10:10 a.m., according to information from the Oconee County Sherriff’s Department. He was released on bonds totaling $1,721.

No further details were immediately available.

Georgia athletics did not respond to comment late Tuesday afternoon.

Morrissette, 19, saw action in 11 games in 2022, making four catches for 34 yards. He had 3 catches for 15 yards in Georgia’s spring game last month.

Morrissette is the third member of this year’s team known to be arrested this offseason. Inside linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson was charged with reckless driving and racing and wide receiver Rara Thomas with misdemeanor battery/family violence and a felony charge of false imprisonment.

Dumas-Johnson pleaded guilty to reckless driving and the racing charge was dismissed.

Thomas entered a pretrial diversion program to resolve the misdemeanor charge and the felony charge was dismissed.

Defensive tackle Jalen Carter was charged with reckless driving and racing on Jan. 15 days after his Georgia career ended. Those charges came in connection with the fatal crash that killed offensive lineman Devin Willock and recruiting staffer Chandler LeCroy.

Carter pleaded no contest and was sentenced to 12 months of probation and a $1,000 fine and 50 hours of community service. He was a first-round draft pick of the Philadelphia Eagles last month.
