THE TIME RIGHT NOW IS 654. WE’RE GETTING A FINAL CHECK OF THIS MORNING’S TOP STORIES. THE FAMILY IS CALLING AN ARREST AFTER THIS MOTHER OF FOUR WAS ALLEGEDLY SHOT THROUGH DOOR BY HER NEIGHBOR. THE MOTHER CLAIMS THAT THE SUSPECT HAD A HISTORY WITH THAT WOMAN’S KIDS. POLICE SAY THAT THEY ARE STILL INVESTIGATING AND THEY CANNOT MAKE AN ARREST RIGHT NOW BECAUSE OF THE STAND YOUR GROUND LAW. ROBERT BLUE WILL FACE A JUDGE TODAY. VOLUSIA COUNTY, DAYTONA BEACH POLICE ARRESTED HIM FOR SECOND DEGREE MURDER. POLICE SAY HE SHOT KILLED 32 YEAR OLD JERON SMITH DURING A PARTY IN THE PARKING LOT BEHIND PLAZA ON ORANGE AVENUE EARLY SUNDAY MORNING. A 71 YEAR OLD WOMAN HAS DIED. THIS HIT AND RUN CRASH NORTH CHICKASAW TRAIL. FHP SAYS THE DRIVER OF THIS CAR, A RED LIGHT, HIT ANOTHER CAR AND FLIPPED HER CAR BEFORE IT BURST INTO. THE OTHER DRIVER THEN TOOK OFF. FHP SAYS THAT THE CAR IS WHITE AND WOULD HAVE SOME DAMAGE ON THE HEADLIGHT. A 16 YEAR OLD IS IN CUSTODY, ACCUSED OF DRIVING SUV THAT WAS STOLEN FROM A DRIVEWAY WITH A SLEEPING TODDLER INSIDE. THE TEEN WAS ARRESTED AFTER LEADING DAYTONA BEACH POLICE ON A CHASE SUNDAY. HE IS NOT CURRENTLY CHARGED WITH KIDNAPING BUT IS CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF A STOLEN VEHICLE AND RUNNING FROM POLICE. ORANGE COUNTY FIRE CREWS RESPONDED TO THIS HOUSE FIRE ON FOURTH AVENUE IN TAFT OVERNIGHT, JUST A COUPLE OF BLOCKS EAST OF ORANGE. THIS IS ALL THAT’S LEFT OF THAT HOUSE. THE FIRE GOT BADLY DAMAGED. THOSE CALLS CAME IN JUST BEFORE 2 A.M. RIGHT NOW. FIRE CREWS ARE WORKING TO FIGURE OUT HOW THE FIRE STARTED AND A 4X4 FOOT HOLE IN ORLANDO IMPACT YOUR MORNING COMMUTE. IT’S ON SOUTH ORANGE AVENUE AND THE SOUTHBOUND LANES THAT ARE WEST OF GRANT STREET. THE CITY SAYS THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, A WASTE MANAGEMENT, ARE NOW WORKING, MAKE REPAIRS. ALL RIGHT. A BUSY ROAD THROUGH DOWNTOWN ORLANDO AND SOUTH OF DOWNTOWN. According to First Coast News, police say 17-year-old Madison Schemitz was with her mother and friends at Mr. Chubby's Wings when 18-year-old Spencer Pearson walked in. One of the friends told reporters that Schemitz and her mom immediately said, "Oh, we’ve got to go" when they spotted him.As they were attempting to leave, Pearson allegedly ran at Schemitz and her mom and began attacking them. According to News4Jax, a police report stated Person stabbed Schemitz 15 times while holding her arm. Schemitz's mother was reportedly stabbed in the leg and forehead and she tried to protect her daughter. Two bystanders stepped in to stop the attack, and one of them was slashed in the hand. As for Pearson, sources tell First Coast News he slit his throat and is now in the hospital. He is charged with two counts of first-degree attempted premeditated murder and aggravated battery.Tatiana Cruceta, Schemitz's older sister, says the family is confident she will recover."Madison is a fighter, you know. She’s going to make it through this, and I know she is going to walk out of this hospital," she said. Pearson's arrest warrant says he began following and harassing Schemitz in April of this year. "There were some issues in the past after they'd broken up where he was threatening her safety. My mother was looking to get a restraining order against him, so this was definitely premeditated," Cruceta said.Two GoFundMe pages have been created for the family: one by friends of Schemitz’s mother and one by supporters of her father. Schemitz’s mother released the following statement:“I would please ask for privacy at this time but ask everyone to pray for my daughter. She is the strongest, most amazing person I know.
